Pioneer VSX 60 A/V receiver

Kinja'd!!!

No remote. Priced at $60 but then there’s 15% off sale going on. It’s as-is unless you pay 5% for a two week return privelege. A non-OEM remote can be found for $8 on FleaBay.

It seems like a pretty good deal for a fancy receiver with lots of HDMI ports. It seems to have plenty of features, but the reviews seem to indicate that it might not be the most reliable thing around.

Deal or no deal?

Is it 4k + HDR capable?

Or are you using it just for music?

It’s probably a little older and thus not 4K or HDR, two things my TV supports. I don’t have any 4K devices so the lack of that capability wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker for me.

Hard to go wrong for $60.

Then it's a steal, even at $60.

The Pioneer in my primary system is around 10 years old, no issues with it or my the one I used to have in my bedroom rig. I’d snatch that thing right up, and consider the 5% thing as it’s not much more.
